Quest is thrilled to announce

Carlos Tabernaberri

as the recipient of the 2012 Equitarian Award!

Whispering AcresCarlos Tabernaberri - "Help Ever, Hurt Never"

After thoroughly assessing the many eminently worthy nominees, our Judge, Lyn White of Animals Australia, commented that she could not think of a more worthy recipient...
“He really endeavours to get people to see things through the eyes of the horse, creating empathy not just for horses but all animals. He seems to be a lovely man and has great compassion for both people and horses.”

The nominating individual said of Carlos’ work... “it is just simply amazing, it is so very gentle, and he brings the confidence back to both horse and rider. He travels all over the world helping horses and people. He always tells his clients that he is only a phone call away when we need help or have questions. He also does amazing work with brumbies and helps to train and find homes for orphaned foals.”

All at Quest would like to convey their sincere appreciation to all of the wonderful nominees - horse men and women who extend themselves ‘above and beyond’ in their professional roles, for the welfare of the equine, and whose untiring efforts have made, and do make an enormously positive impact upon the lives of many horses and ponies. We know that none of the award nominees do what they do for the accolades, but we are grateful for the opportunity that the Equitarian Award provides for us all to publicly acknowledge the good works of all award nominees. Congratulations to all.

Thank you also to the all-important nominators for their participation, and for sharing awareness of the work of some truly amazing individuals.

Congratulations Carlos, and thank you for your contribution to equine welfare
on behalf of all equines.

EQUITARIAN AWARD 2012

 Equitarian Award

Honouring individuals for consistent, compassionate, and selfless

service which improves the welfare of equines.

KINDLY SPONSORED BY HERBAL HORSE

Herbal Horse

Since the times of the early pioneers, Australia’s horsemen and women, along with their mounts, have played an integral role in shaping our country. The role of the horse in society has changed dramatically over the last hundred years, but their value as a companion and trusted friend has never waned. From the dressage arena to stations in the outback, horses continue to be at man’s side at work and at play.

There are many great men and women who, in various ways, have been responsible for ensuring the welfare of our equine partners through their chosen occupation. Many of these folk extend themselves well beyond expectations, giving their time, effort and expertise to benefit the welfare of equines.

The Quest Equitarian Award has been initiated to acknowledge the selflessness and commitment of such people. A nomination is a wonderful way to show appreciation to a worthy equitarian that you might know – it costs nothing and gives so much.

Seeking all of those un-sung heroes!
